Centres
While working in various earthquake affected regions of
Gujarat soon after January 2001 we realized that the children
were the worst affected. MARAG started working with children
in groups and organised various recreational activities
for them, from here emerged a concept of Activity Centre
for children which could address the immediate survival
and protection needs of children. Soon after MARAG was
supporting 75 AC in villages of Kutch and Surendranagar.
Presently 20 activity centers are operational in the remotest
villages of Khawda where there are no schools.
